Accessibility
Last Updated: July 8, 2026
Hawaii Ocean Rafting is committed to ensuring that our website and services are accessible to all guests, including those with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive experience both online and on the water.
Our Commitment
We are working to ensure that hawaiioceanrafting.com conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines help make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological conditions.
Measures We Take
To support accessibility, we have implemented the following measures:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Descriptive alt text for meaningful images
- Sufficient color contrast ratios throughout the site
- Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and interactive elements
- ARIA labels and roles for screen reader compatibility
- Focus indicators for keyboard navigation
- Responsive design that works across devices and screen sizes
- Reduced motion support for users who prefer minimal animation
On-the-Water Accessibility
We want every guest to enjoy the beauty of Maui’s coastline. Please be aware of the following regarding our ocean tours:
- Our rigid-hull inflatable rafts require guests to step down into the vessel from the dock. The boarding process involves uneven surfaces and may require physical agility.
- Tours involve exposure to ocean conditions including waves, wind, and spray. Guests should be able to hold on securely during the ride.
- We are happy to discuss specific accessibility needs on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us before booking so we can help determine if a particular tour is a good fit.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website and services. If you encounter any barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please let us know:
- Email: Aloha@HawaiiOceanRafting.com
- Phone: (808) 661-7238
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review our website and make updates to improve usability for all visitors. As web standards and technologies evolve, we will continue to adopt best practices to ensure an inclusive experience.
