Authentic Hawaiian Ocean Adventure
Pono
Honesty and integrity are taught by our conduct, not our words. We work as a team with clear and fair expectations, respect and appreciation for each other while finding enjoyment in sharing Maui’s adventures with our visitors. We want visitors to learn to be pono and not only respect our island and culture, but take that positive mana (energy) back home with them.
ʻOhana
Our small group, family style experience means every guest gets one-on-one with our team. From the booking experience to the moment you step off the boat, we want you to learn what our island and community are about and grow your connection with it. As you feel more a part of our Maui ʻohana, we believe you will turn see yourself as a part of the solution to caring for our island and its community, even as a visitor.
Holomua
Adapting is a part of connecting with our visitors while proudly sharing what important to our community. We are working to create an authentic experience that gives visitors a glimpse of Maui’s living mana while educating about marine life, our ocean, community and how we all play a role in caring for the āina God has blessed us with.

Historically
Hawaiian Heritage
Peter (owner & operator) values his Hawaiian heritage as it plays an important role in the mission and daily operations.
1991
Established
Hawaii Ocean Rafting was established in Lahaina Harbor, Maui.
2021
New Ownership
Peter and Toni purchased Hawaii Ocean Rafting.
2022
Team Building
Excited to begin building a team of people passionate about the ocean.
2023
Lahaina Wildfires
August 8th: We lose our home, boats harbor in the Lahaina wildfires. December 1st, find temporary boats and restart tours at temporary location at Mala, Lahaina.
2024
Begin Rebuilding
With the help of the community and lots of blood, sweat and tears, we were able to reopen at a temporary location with temporary boats and get our team back to work.
2025
Education Programs
Gratefully begin our field trips with Maui Hero Project and education program with Lahaina Intermediate School.
2026
Looking Ahead
The rebuilding is still underway as we look forward to returning to Lahaina Harbor in the next couple year- we appreciate your support always!

Launched in 2025, our new education programs are opportunities for the next generation of conservationist to gain knowledge, build careers and learn to care for the ocean they love.
These programs are a great way for our team to share their practical understanding of the ocean and education in marine biology with students of all ages.
